    [Daphne – That was always the case, Mandango. I grew up in Stella Maris parish, Sliema, where people who voted Nationalist were in the minority, the majority being Stricklandjani or Labour, including Astrid’s grandfather, a Labour candidate.]

    What struck me is the “worked at Flimkien ghall ambjent ahjar”. I gather that the meaning of the word “work” signifies employment with the opportunity of earning money.

    Does this mean that the lady was paid rather than serving pro bono?
