Labour – they just leave you open-mouthed

Oh look! It's Il-Guy, JosephMuscatDotCom's finance minister for 2013 to 2018. We're bringing him back because Joseph tells us that it's time for a change, and even bell-bottoms had their brief moment back after 30 years.

The Labour Party has one of their ‘let’s copy the PN’s style’ adverts in The Times today.

Among lots of other bull that misses the mark, it has this legendary line:

We believe that Lawrence Gonzi has done some good things in the past – we acknowledge that. But now it is time for a change.

It takes a lot of skill and subtlety to damn with faint praise, Labour. And to cut to the bone, it’s got to be accurate. We believe that Lawrence Gonzi has done some good things in the past?

Don’t make us laugh. Taking Malta into the Eurozone and, only last week, securing twice what was offered to us in EU funds, in very difficult negotiations, is hardly an hour’s session at Spinach Gym (is that what it’s called?) followed by a session with a teleprompter.

Kemm intom nies ridikoli, jahasra. You just have NO idea, do you? Min jaf x’dizastru gej.

“Min jaf x’dizastru gej.” Couldn’t agree more. I can’t believe what great hypocrites all of them at PL are. Playing the wolf in sheep’s clothing throughout this so called positive campaign of theirs. We could see how positive they were at the University debate yesterday, with all the pseudo students shouting the slogans on cue.
There’s still time for us to change all this on 9th March. Let’s vote them out of their desire for power, otherwise it will all be “dizastru”.

I agree. It’s time for a change. It’s time we had a Labour Party leader who’s normal, knows what he’s talking about, actually has a vision for Malta and the skill and competence to deliver it.

And it’s time we had a party in opposition that’s a viable and better alternative to the one in government, but something tells me that the only chance of having that is by electing Joseph Muscat.

Actually Spinach Gym started off as a gym for children. It’s “advertising” on Facebook targets parents mostly.

” Here we would list their specific positive proposals……but we couldn’t find any.” Except for the whole Budget for 2013, and almost all the proposals in the PN electoral programme.

“No new plans for our healthcare, schools and universities”. Clearly they had to leave Jobs (xoghol) out of that statement, for obvious reasons. But schools and universities?! With the worst track record possible for the PL, and the best record possible for the PN they even dare to mention education?

    Unbelievable.

Lawrence Gonzi’s government has done a lot of good things in the past, like the liberalisation of so many sectors.

Seems that the only good thing that the Malta Labour Party did, and which they remind us about all the time, is the ‘liberalisation’ of sodomy.
