Malta Taghna Lkoll/I’m In: the quintessential granfalloon

A granfalloon is a group of people who claim to have, or think they have, a great deal in common through a shared identity or purpose, but whose association together is actually quite meaningless.
The word entered the language after being coined by Kurt Vonnegut in his science fiction novel, Cat’s Cradle (1963), to signify “a proud and meaningless association of human beings”. It was so perfect a word that it was adopted by market researchers and social scientists.

You don’t blame that guy being happy he is ‘in’ that sweat jacket which looks like it’s too small for his true size.
B’ ‘Malta taghna lkoll’, il-Labour qed jalludu li Malta mhiex taghna lkoll. Ma nafx ghalfejn. Jekk niehdu l-iskandlu taz-zejt, per ezempju, ghal kull Nazzjonalist involut hemm tlitt Laburisti b’ idejhom mcappsa biz-zejt.
Malta Taghna Lkoll is used interchangeably by the Moviment with that other stupid phrase “Gvern Gdid, jekk jinghata l-fiducja.”
This had originally started as “Gvern Gdid immexxi minni,” but I suspect that when Joseph realised that this was going to put a lot of attention on him, he must have preferred to avoid any reference to himself whatsoever.
Isn’t it obvious that a new government must have the trust of the majority of the people?
In the USA, that guy would be referred to as a paluka.
Wonder how much someone in the PL is making out of the sale of those hoodies. The I’m In slogan is going to look very yesterday in a couple of weeks time, whatever the outcome of the election.
May I complete the caption on his sweat shirt “…,.flated”
It’s also a ‘Happy Hour’ bar in Kansas City. The patrons have no clue who’s who or why they’re there.
I wonder where these hoodies will end up after the election’s over. Maghtab will look like Armageddon In The Disney Ghetto.
Maghtab’s closed. It’s full of Partnership flags.
The definition according to urbandictionary is:
1. A group of people united only in a superficial manner.
2. A false karass; that is, a large yet meaningless association of human beings
Granfallut, granbaffoon…granballun
