Definition of a true gentleman: Dr Lawrence Gonzi.

Knowing that his chances in winning this election are very remote, he still negotiates such a mega package. He had sleepless nights and was the last one to leave the table.

He (and his team) is the only one who has ‘been there, that that’.

    • ken il malti says:

I don’t think that his chances of winning this election are very remote at all.

I am counting on common sense prevailing and the Maltese citizen’s new found love of money and materialism will bring them to the right decision and vote the PN back in.

I mean even the dumbest Maltese is pragmatic when it comes to his wallet or her purse.

      • Neil Dent says:

No chance. It pains me so much, but PN are losing this one. Campaigns aside, the ‘New (and great) Leader’ is the clincher. Not the oil scandal, the ‘blokka bajda’, xejn.

        Roll on 2018 (maximum).

Many are shortsighted and unfortunately they have a vote too.

This film is beautiful. I have tears in my eyes. I am feeling happy and blessed that God gave me enough brain to be on the side where I feel safe and secure.

God Bless this country and keep us safe and deliver us as you already did in the past.

  3. Harry Purdie says:

Gonzi loves his country and the citizens, Little Joey loves only himself. Take your pick.

  4. ciccio says:

Dr. Lawrence Gonzi’s 1,128,000,000 reasons why Joseph Muscat was wrong when he campaigned to keep Malta out of the EU.

L-ghajdut “Hobz il-biezel kielu (se jieklu) l-ghazzien” qatt ma kien joqghod f’sitwazzjoni aghar minn din.

  6. Mercury Rising says:

Dr Gonzi tells us how important it is to always be prepared.

Joseph Muscat cannot remember The Neverland Pirates (his kids’ cartoon program).

  7. manum says:

I fully understand that when presenting a film clip during a political campaign, one has to present the person in question at his very best, of what he is really made of.

Dr Gonzi is presented as a family man (workaholic). He is clearly shown to be a man of principles and discipline.

On the other side we see a man in a gym. I would expect that man to be at least well toned, but whoever advised him to do just that in fact managed to show us how fake he actually is.

Gyms are associated with hunks not with pretenders.

  8. Futur Imcajpar says:

I think it’s the injustice of it all that makes me want to hurl stuff.

My parents were too naive when they were teaching me life’s values. They never taught me that lying and cheating and being an insufferable egocentric are highly admired qualities on this island.

The mentality of ‘the end justifies the means’ was deemed heresy and highly dangerous, not only to others, but also to one’s own serenity.

And we think we are an affable lot.

    • Jozef says:

      So did mine, Futur Imcajpar.

Put it this way, we’ll be breathing down his neck.

Even because two newspapers and three tv channels will belong to him.

The moderator will have her work doubled and this blog will become something else.

Hi, as an resident and frequent visitor of your beautiful country, I am following the events quite closely.

If the link to the below article is any indication on what the PL has in store for Malta, good luck to all of you.

A 400k euro gift by the new government. Excellent language and reasoning in the article as well – looks is higher on the agenda than the promise of reduced water and electricity bill, which appears to be totally forgotten now. That plan obviously did not come out as planned.
