The 80s were traumatic, and listening to this I was transported back. God help us.

  2. Tania says:

How I wish I could leave this island if they win…near impossible for me however.

    • Someone says:

I am already outside the country thanks to an education I had under the Nationalist government. Although I don’t need to come back I pray for you all that Armageddon doesn’t hit you on March 9. Until the votes are cast, there is still hope.

The PM’s speech in Gozo shows a strength of character, self assurance, and reliability under pressure that the Facebook amateur at Mile End can only envy.

      • Tania says:

Hope you are coming back to vote, your duty all the more for the opportunities you were given.

    • AG says:

      My sentiments exactly, Tania.

    • TinaB says:

      Who can blame you, Tania?

I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to choose where I want to live but I cannot say the same for some members of my family and relatives should dear Joseph and his team win next Saturday’s election – I feel mortified for them and for all decent Maltese citizens.

God help Malta and its people of goodwill.

  3. Joe says:

‘Public switchers’ are in for what they can ‘dubiously’ get. ‘Private Genuine Switchers’ are in for a dubious 5 years.

  4. billy goat says:

Personally, I would be far better off under a PN government but thanks to the solid foundations laid by the PN I would still make it under a PL government.

Should they crawl to power, God forbid they don’t, I sincerely hope that the so called “borderline poor” get what they deserve.

They think that Joseph will resolve all their problems and they’ll have more money than they could have ever imagined.

I will be the one laughing my arse off and saying…”hekk, hudu go fikom ghax ma haqqkomx ahjar !” when things go south.

  5. cikku65 says:

Nixtieq li jerga jitla l-PN, imma qed nibza li dak ix-xoghol u l-gid li sar f’dawn il-5 snin jista jintilef minhabba certu nies li il-vot jahsbuh cheque li jistghu issarfuh f’xi permess, xoghol ghat-tfal, jirrangaw triq quddiemhom etc…. Jekk ma jinqedux, ma jivvutawx jew jivutaw lil PL.

  6. Pink says:

Daphne, only your blog posts will keep me from going insane if Labour is elected.

  7. Village says:

    Il-Laburisti u kull min hu mediokri ma jifilhux izommu l-pass mal-progress u l-gdid li ghamel u gab f’Malta l-partit Nazzjonalista.

Ghalhekk iridu lill Joseph biex iwwaqqaf dan ir-ritmu veloci.

  8. math says:

Did you see the DVD where Joseph Muscat is seen and heard praising Chris Cardona in a strikingly biased manner?

The DVD disk has an avi dated December 2011 which was converted to video files two weeks ago. It appears to have been taken in a Get Together at L-Istazzjon Birkirkara.

So much for leadership skills. Muscat says that if he had the vote then Cardona would be his choice.

With the likes of Edward Scicluna, Edward Zammit Lewis, and Joe Debono Grech on the same district as Cardona, it makes you wonder and ask some questions why Muscat said what he did.

  9. betty says:

I’m actually feeling sick, I mean physically sick.

  10. Pied Piper says:

Viva Malta Socialista and Run Rabbit Run still haunt me.

  11. Bella Kumpanija says:

Naqbel mieghek Cikku65. Il-punt hu li dawk kollha li se jivvutaw lil PL u AD jew dawk li mhux se jivvutaw ikunu qedin jaghtu cans lil Joseph imexxi lil Malta li l-anqas biss ghandu d-dicenza li jikkontesta l-elezzjoni fid-distrett ta’ fejn joqghod. Vera nonsense.
