This young man is called Larson Pisani. He told us on Facebook this morning that he had gone off already to be a protaganist and not a spectator - which I suppose means that he voted. Poor thing. How terrible to be so damned stupid.

A good comment posted by Andrea Pace on Facebook:

I recently came across the Facebook Page ‘B Cool B Labour’.

I have some thoughts I need to share with this group.

If you are able to peacefully attend mass meetings without the fear of being hounded and beaten by thugs and a police force owned by the government…you have it better than we did!

If you are going to school freely or sending your child to a school of your choosing without worrying about any real threat to you and your child’s safety …don’t take it for granted.

If vulnerable people and individuals from religious orders can go out to give their vote without facing deliberate intimidation by thugs surrounding their homes/convents ……this country has definitely gone in the right direction.

I don’t think there is anything cool about Labour. Several of the perpetrators of this abhorrhent condemnable behaviour are alive and well and living in the MLP.

As for that nonsense at MCAST. That would never have happened under a Labour regime – they’d all have been tear-gassed.

I think the page should read ‘B Labour, B too young to remember a damn thing about it’

Bravu. These are the facts. The energetic plight towards historical revisionism – by those who need to, but cannot, be redeemed – is very understandable.

These days I judge people if they are stupid or intelligent not by their academic qualification or their lack of but if they vote PN or not.

I agree with you, Joe. I really do. However I am going to give you an example on how the younger generation really cannot be blamed.

I grew up hearing war stories from my grandmother and my mother. On cold winter nights it was our pleasure to sit around and listen to their stories. That is exactly what it was, fun and a fantasy that I could not fathom could ever have been real.

The younger generation of Malta have indeed been hearing US talk about the atrocities that took place during the Labour Party times. How can they fathom that
policemen were allowed to use their batons to beat up innocent people in public, being televised beating them, and get away with it.

How can they believe that or even begin to understand that 25 years ago they were not able to buy basic products, not able to take out more than 250 liri to go for a vacation, whether you were going for one day or for one month?

How do we expect them to believe all of this?

Let us hope and pray that they never have to witness these actions. Furthermore, let us hope that if they witness it, they will be courageous enough to rebel and stand up for their rights and erase this abhorent government once and for all, so that ma jergux ikissru Malta bhal ma ghamlu qabel.

[Daphne – Yes, well, Larson – as long as you’re not still stuck doing that for the rest of your life like your ‘pa’ before you. Do make the most of the EU membership your Joseph fought again. You really don’t want to still be drinking beer at the Paola MLP club when you’re 50.]

It’s ok Daph I’m having trouble too with my I pad and I can’t receive or send emails. I feel so disgusted with this picture of the Malta Taghna Lkoll sign. Thank God he’s not my son!
