  1. Min Jaf says:

Wonder where Joseph Muscat’s roadmap leads him to once he loses this election and takes the slip road off the prime ministerial highway? A concrete wall, perhaps?

    • Eddy Privitera says:

      Int KATTOLIKA Daphne ???????????????

      • yor/malta says:

What has religion got to do with voting for the worthy . You suffer from the disease called selective memory syndrome , you need to take a long hard look at what you and your ilk endorse .

    • Rixu says:

Within less than 24 hours Joseph Muscat’s roadmap led him to Castille not a concrete wall. What about that ‘Min Jaf’? You made a completely wrong conclusion didn’t you and by a big margin!

    • Noel says:

Gol hajt your gonzi simon and tonio.u ma ninsewx il AUST..dead loosers.ejjew mghana u ahdmu mghana u mhux toboduna..il politika antika tal kuluri nahseb li spicca zmiena, u dan rajnieh car kristal b37000 votes favur il pl.

[Daphne – Ha nsaqsik haga, Noel. Int xtrajtu l-ktieb ta’ Joseph? Taf taqrah?]

  2. Makjavel says:

And now they snaked in ex criminal inspector Pico to guarantee the KISSING GAME in the election officials list of the Partit Laburista Mintoffjan.

  3. Spiru says:

Recently she was smiling at me at Scott’s Burmarrad – believe me, worse than Turkish Delight – too sickly sweet. Propja a Cheshire Cat.

    • Macchiavelli says:

And within a few months of the 1996 election was employed by the Water Services Corporation. Are interdicted persons permitted to be employed by a government entity? Imma Malta taghna lkoll.

  4. Kevin Zammit says:

Check JPO’s Facebook. What a w*nker! We had no doubt he would vote Labour but no need to use what happened yesterday as an excuse.

Don’t worry, Jeff. You will get your Mistra permit. No need to try harder.

  5. francesco says:

Hobbuwha lil Me Shall, ghax hi thobbkom.

  6. Ganna says:

Do you think the people that have garages near JPO Mistra land will allow JPO to built a disco there? No way

  7. Paul Bonnici says:

Ghamel weghda mad-Duluri biex ma jirbhux!

  8. G. Borg says:

    Lord graciously help us.

  9. Kristina says:

Despite the fake smiles, Jackie-O style suits, poshy English speaking schools and French named off-springs, it always comes across how hard they try to portray an image which does not belong to them. It must be utterly exhausting! I would much rather they portray their true selves, at least I would have an ounce of respect for that.

  10. AE says:

I can’t get that image of Muscat placing the wreath upside down out of my head. If it weren’t for the fact that he is going to be our prime minister, it would be hilarious. Once a bidwi always a bidwi.

  11. NotAmused says:

Daphne, the little stunt you pulled was ridiculous. I am ashamed of supporting PN for ppl like you, and the other buffu who followed you with a camera. Citizens should vote PN for our policies and ideas. Unfortunately at the moment we lack both. Lets hope we pull off another miracle victory tomorrow but hopefully we will learn something from all this i.e. elections are won or lost because of policies, ideology and ideas and not false gimmicks.

[Daphne – My goodness, what a stupid comment. Let’s leave aside the extreme stupidity of your suggestion that I organised my own arrest in collusion with one magistrate and two inspectors from the homicide squad and the CID, and concentrate instead on your last statement. Elections SHOULD BE won on policies, ideology and ideas, not false gimmicks, but you have the evidence before you today that this is not necessarily the case BECAUSE THIS ONE CLEARLY WAS NOT.]

    • NotAmused says:

The issue is that if you break the law you should face the consequence. If your defence is that ‘others did it as well’ you have no leg to stand on I’m afraid. Freedom of expression allows you to call my comment stupid. Let’s agree to disagree on that!

[Daphne – ‘If you break the law you shuold face the consequence’. Only if the law is legal. If it is not legal, then no, you are not obliged to obey it and in fact have a duty to break it. This law is actually anti-constitutional – it violates the provisions on freedom of expression. http://www.independent.com.mt/articles/2013-03-10/opinions/this-is-not-the-kind-of-change-we-need-1112408067/%5D

The reality is that the huge majority disagrees with you (and me for that matter).

[Daphne – How is that a problem? Or have you mistaken me for a political party that needs a voter majority?]

Gonzi is correct to say the party needs renewal. The problem is that we (PN) sound like a Mafia family as too many candidates or officials are following on their relative’s footsteps (Gonzi, de Marco, Borg Olivier, Mifsud Bonnici etc etc).
Like it or not you don’t win an election with 36k votes with gimmicks. If PN react like you did above then we need to prepare ourselves for a long period in opposition.

[Daphne – ‘If PN react like you did above’. I am not the PN. I write a blog. This is not difficult to understand so please don’t be so confused.]

  14. A proud Labour says:

Mr.Chav and Mrs Pushy so called by DCG will proudly lead the country for a better future.

    [Daphne – How naive.]

    • Unknown says:

Shame on you DCG! Stupid and arrogant!!!!!!!!!
We are proud to have joseph muscat as our prime minister ( yours aswell of course) LIKE IT OR NOT.

  15. Chris Mifsud says:

Well there is no point crying over spilt milk. Labour have won and by a large margin. I did my bit by voting PN as did many others but it was clearly nowhere near enough.

What is important now is that Joseph Muscat and his cabinet keep Malta moving in the right direction whilst implementing the measures mentioned in the Labour electoral programme and that he hopefully proves his doubters (myself included) wrong.

If he does that then we will all be winners.

    • Chris Mifsud says:

In the meantime these next five years will be a perfect oppertunity for the PN to see and correct where it went wrong during the last 5 years and the election campaign.
