You can smell the whiff of corruption and ‘issa nirrangaw’ right off this photo of the first cabinet meeting
Here’s a photograph of the first cabinet meeting of the progressive new Labour government.
And what exactly is TONI ABELA doing there, seated at Joseph Muscat’s right hand? He has no government role – only a party role.
Is there something we should be told – perhaps he holds the secret of yet another cocaine haul at a Labour club?
There’s Keith Schembri tal-Kasco, on the far right of the picture, almost hidden. What is HE doing there? He’s the Prime Minister’s chief of staff – he shouldn’t be at cabinet meetings.
Isn’t that what the Labour Party has been telling us for the last 20 years or so? And Malta Today?
Schembri has a business with a turnover of around Eur12 million a year. The suggestion that he has left all that for a chief of staff’s salary is laughable.
It’s obvious that he’s done it for the openings it gives him, for more business. He’s the one who took Joseph Muscat to Libya on a top-secret mission a couple of years back. The visit wasn’t announced, but somebody spotted them in the VIP lounge at the airport and told NET News.
Keith Schembri has resigned his directorships, Muscat told the press. Oh indeed. And the press obligingly reported this without going to the Registry of Companies on line and checking this for a fact.
He has resigned anything. And in any case, it’s not the directorships he has to divest himself of, but his shareholding. It says nothing at all if you’re not a director but still own the company.
It’s ownership that counts, not directorship, when you want business.

Couldn’t spot the ice bucket.
TONI ABELA – Portfolio without Minister

They’re forcing everyone to resign, even small committees where civil servants are not paid for their extra work, but he’s keeping a Labourite. Meritocracy my foot.
“I didn’t barge in but was personally invited by Toni Abela. It was a great experience for me and I think Dr Abela wanted to show his appreciation for my contribution.” said Mr Chetcuti.
“…..I don’t know of any donations he gave to Labour and I have nothing to do with that,” said Dr. Abela.

Toni Abela has the important role of the “ice man”.
He is the go-to-guy when a member of the cabinet requires some pick-me-up refreshments.

It’s remarkable how vulgar nincompoops like ‘Mario mangon’ (sic) generally resort to using animal-based name-calling, such as ‘xadina’, ‘hanzir’, ”bhima’, ‘baqra’, and so on.
My theory on this is that they do so because since they are so uneducated and dull that all they can do is milk cows and fuck goats, so it comes naturally to them to always refer to animals when trying to insult others.

– Junior minister’s failure to shake Muscat’s hand ‘inadvertent mistake’
14:49 | BA members ‘inadvertently’ asked to hand in resignation
Less than a week in government and already two “inadvertent mistakes”. After 25 years apprenticeship they get it wrong TWICE in five days. Prosit tassew. Malta is in good hands.
Daphne would you be kind enough to point out which one he is? Maybe the Maltese public should be aware who is actually going to be running this country for the next years. No offence, Joseph!

He will soon need to invest in a larger table. How long do you think, before Toni Zarb joins the club?
Saw JM on TV in Brussels, and somehow the man does not seem to have what it takes to mix with such people.
Tony Zarb can never join the club if Mario Cutajar is there,
I can’t believe what I am seeing on TVM.
You absolutely MUST read this article:

Bloody opportunistic thug. Vince Farrugia is such a dullard. Blown his own open-and-shut case right out of the water. SO frustrating.
Now, watch Sandro go, Vince!
If that’s the most feminist government in history, then some of those in the picture must be hiding some secrets.
Daphne your entire blog is a must read. You will have no shortage of topics in the next few years.
Forget about shareholdings; what about liabilities with let’s say influential companies?
In the Times article above, “Asked whether as a for-mer Nationalist MP he felt comfortable celebrating a Labour win, he insisted he was a former independent MP and not a Nationalist.” JPO seems to have forgotten that he was a PN MP. Hypocrite.

This is 2013. There are 100000 tweets per second on the web. How can you catch up with all these. There are ones which are saying worse things than these ones.
Toni Abela just doesn’t know his place – http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20130314/local/-I-was-invited-to-Castille-by-Toni-Abela-.461405
Then again, we can’t expect much better for somebody who gets horny with a latex puppet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DJ34MOu_yQ
There they are,the clowns.
Changing subject, is that a cigarette or a pen in Mizzi’s hand?
Daphne please tell us, is that a cigarette in Mizzi’s hand?
Well , I have never seen anybody hold a pen like one holds a cigarette.
May be electronic cigarettes are an option, but I am not an expert. I do not smoke and neither do any of my friends.
If only it was the set of a Whodunnit and they were about to be bumped off one by one.
D. O. I. Great photo! Keep up the good work! I think they may need a ministry for photo shop works

Could it be that Keith tal-Kasco is there as a reporter for The Times?
Keith Kasco is waiting in earnest to hear of any new tenders being issued so that he can divulge the information to the companies he owns but as long as he is not the director of any of these companies, it does not qualify for CONFLICT OF INTEREST.
Go tell it to the marines, Joe.
We don’t buy The Times. We have switched to The Malta Independent.
