Who is the minister responsible for Air Malta?

air malta

I’ve checked the list of ministers and parliamentary secretaries and their portfolios, issued by the DOI, and it looks like they’ve forgotten about Air Malta.

“Lesti biex niggvernaw.”

Ticcajta, man.

    ROFLMFAO

  2. Jozef says:

Karmenu Vella, he’s the minister responsible for ‘external transport’.

  3. Chris says:

    Karmenu Vella

  4. H.P. Baxxter says:

    “Ticcajta, man”

That did it for me. I’m ROFLMAO too.

Upon reading this, I just had to dash by, brew me a coffee, take a gulp, and proceed to decorate my keyboard.

What about information technology? And who’s the leader of the house?

Both seems to be missing too.

    • James says:

      Chris Cardona

    • Jozef says:

It’s been reduced to research and innovation under Buontempo’s secretariat. Who’s happily ensconced in Varist’s ministry responsible for ‘work’.

Separate from Cardona and Zammit Lewis.

Forget the dynamics and the system, finetuned by experience, that led to the investment rythm we had these last four years.

These idiots think these sectors belong to some utilitarian segment according to their outdated thinking.

They may be fresh and all the bull being written by everyone to justify the result, in my book they’re about to unleash a recession and kill the knowhow leading to the clusters forming exclusively on the island.

If they wanted to build on the model, they should have bloody kept it and all the ones involved. They just did the exact opposite, remove the synergy.

Until last week, this place was actually becoming something to watch. Malta was the stuff of articles uploaded on Linked In by the Post Industrial Group, Compasso and others.

When I think about it, it kills me inside.

Cardona thinks sitting pretty serves a purpose. Zammit Lewis thinks decorating embassies with the gradenza ta’ Malta will promote local industry. The PN tried that in 2001 FFS.

Labour will, as usual, listen to the ones who fail to make the mark.

They will distinguish also a potter from an R&D center. Idiots.

The Sunday columnists, born into Mintoffjan privilege, offended by Tonio’s Alice, won. Hopefully, they’ll realise what happens to SME’s servicing the growth only too soon.

This is what they voted for, just turn back to more of the same subsidised existence, public employment and lacklustre industrial thinking.

We’re back to following. That they fill their inches. SOCIALISTS.

Just wait till the new Air Malta CEO is announced….

  7. Leli says:

More surprises coming up regarding the appointment of a new CEO for Air Malta. Enough said for now.

  8. Nicky says:

Is Karmenu Vella responsible for the airlines and for the air transport regulator? If negative, who is responsible for the regulator? If positive, how can one consider the regulator to be an independent body?

    • Jozef says:

Il-bierah Karmenu bezaqha, qal li daz-zmien ‘il-low cost ma’ tistax TEHLES MINNHOM’.

I’m sorry about the caps, but honestly these guys are twenty years behind.

  9. Giov.DeMartino says:

And what about that high official who was being investigated for leaving an Air Malta plane stranded in Sicily? The investigations were concluded several months ago.

IT not not referred to specifically either… any clues?

  12. canon says:

By now the new Finance Minister should have already estimated the expenditure for the enlarged Cabinet and how this expenditure will affect the budget.

Maltatoday is referring to Jose Herrera as “Junior Minister”. Why? He is a Parliamentary Secretary, full stop.

    An INADVERTENT mistake.

They also INADVERTENTLY asked for the resignation of the BA.

Too much ice in their drinks.

  17. Hotelier says:

It’s the Minister of Tourism. Massive conflict of interest. The Minister should be knocking on the door of all airlines already flying to Malta and others that could potentially do, but he is also responsible for their main competitor.

The past administration has recognised that accessibility is the number 1 factor influencing our tourist arrivals and the results are testimony to this.

    Now what?

  18. sasha says:

Oh who will be the new CEO for MTA, Leslie Vella or Kevin Fsadni? Or will Kevin Fsadni take over Restoration Unit?
