Payback time rolls on, dear readers.

The man slated to be chief of planning permits - Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando's best friend, who lives with somebody who takes a very keen interest in the property development market (but only as an observer, of course)

From one BICC (Building Industry Consultative Council) to another.

  2. Lord Lucan says:

For once a good decision regarding MEPA!
At last we will be able to get all the permits we need. I always imagined Malta asa Singapour or Hong Knog, so lets get rid of height limitations and create a country of skyscrapers.

    • Jozef says:

Pity their favoured developers are nowhere near the technology required.

Renders the public-private partnerships vulnerable to the Oligarkija’s secrets and masonic handshakes.

      • Maria Xriha says:

More please Jozef. Nobody dares mention.

      • Jozef says:

I suppose you’re not familiar with concrete core sample test results.

Malta taghna lkoll cannot go higher than the Oligarkija, not with the ones who’ll take over.

        Just watch the tanks fail.

  3. Case officer says:

In all fairness, he will make an excellent chairman since he knows the laws inside out and has a brilliant mind! However: will he treat us according to whether we are followers of his “movement”????

[Daphne – The one thing Mr Musumeci certainly does not have, case officer, is a brilliant mind. You have my assurances on that, even if you are not able to observe it for yourself going on the copious available evidence.]

  4. mattie says:

If the man has a brilliant mind, then I’m Superman.

    *Shakes Head*.

  5. Wot the Hack says:

Good, so the Mistra disco permit is just a nod and a wink between Rob and Jeff.

  6. WhoamI? says:

Is Robert Musumeci’s life-partner hawking fish?

  7. P Shaw says:

Interesting – I wonder whether Astrid will stay in hibernation.

Years ago (before he became close to Joseph Muscat), Musumeci was one of her favourite targets. All applications he signed as the architect used to be instantly approved.

A newspaper had published a picture of Musumeci talking to (or colluding with) one of the MEPA staff or MEPA board members just outside the MEPA offices. He had gone mad with rage.

Not that one would expect The Times to publish the same picture again now. The Times is in now, and consequently ethics change.

  8. David says:

Mr Musmueci is an architect well versed with MEPA regulations and practices and therefore is suited for this position. If he or someone else is appointed as chairman, he/she should not be allowed to continue practising as an architect.

  9. Grezz says:

Whatever next? Caqnu for environmental hazard assessment expert?

  10. Gladio says:

If it is true that Robert Musumeci will be appointed to head the new Authority that will replace MEPA, it is very unethical for a MEPA case officer to be photographed socialising with Robert.

  11. Hannah says:

Mhux ta b’xejn Muscat kien ikun mistieden ghand Musumeci u l-Magistrat Herrera, ma’ JPO u l-girlfriend tieghu, issa l-mara.

Kienu qieghdin jahmu l-istorja, li xi darba ghad tinkiteb li kienu konfoffa ma’ Muscat biex iwaqqghu l-gvern. Issa Mugliett jonqsu kariga. Debono, JPO u Musumeci lesti.

  12. Goodies says:

I met a number of people who think that he can bring about the much desired changes at MEPA. I have no problem either to state that he is one of the most versed in the subject. This does not mean that he was fit to remain in the Nationalist Party.

[Daphne – ‘I met a number of people who think that he can bring about the much desired changes at MEPA.’ Translation: they think he can and will accomodate them. MEPA is set for dismantling anyway.]

  13. MxC says:

Is there a news article about this pls? Can you post it here?

  14. Joe cassar says:

U btw, today i witnessed JPO, in Gozo, having lunch with dr.michael Farrugia (PL) and magistrate carol peralta! I was walking by this particular restaurant in Xlendi and i could not believe my eyes! L opportunist l iehor!, lanqas jisthi, wait for the mistra project to be soon starting, ghax il-malti jghid ‘hadt MA jghamel xejn ta xejn’ ghax Issa kollox taghhom sar, bdejna bil-hbieb Tal hbieb meta lanqas ilhom xaghar fil-gvern, ahseb u ara x ghad irid jigri! Prosit u thank you lil minn ivvota labour!
