John Dalli on holiday in Italy with Iosif Galea and Silvio Zammit

From the OLAF report – extracted from the transcript of the investigators’ second interview with John Dalli:

Investigator: Do you know a certain Iosif Galea from the Lotteries and Gaming Authority?

John Dalli: No. I do not recall such a person.

This illustrates the point I made a couple of posts back: that there are two separate issues here – grounds for resignation/forced removal from the post of EU Commissioner, and grounds for prosecution.

Lying blatantly to OLAF investigators? Definitely grounds for being kicked out of office. At least they have him the chance to clear his own desk and ‘resign’.

This photograph shows John Dalli, while EU Commissioner, on holiday in Italy with Iosif Galea and Silvio Zammit.

Another thing which I noticed from the report.

It was stated that during his interview, John Dalli offerred to give his GSM number for further investigation. So why all the noise about it not being legal for OLAF to get the telephone reports?

Why aren’t the authorities screaming to prosecute the culprit who leaked the report?

I mean, there are court cases ongoing.

Round about when was it he was on ONE, waffling on about his private correspondence (was it emails or calls?) being intercepted or hacked?

It was thought out of place because his intervention on the programme was related to something totally different. The motion against RCC if I’m not mistaken.

Apologies – I don’t recall all details, but I know you and some readers will, Daphne.

All four are to blame. Personally I find the case to be made up of four brigantes trying to embroil Brussels, Olaf, Kessler and Barroso.

Lock them Maltese up and stop wasting tax payers’ money. That will teach them a lesson for good.

This is the same thing like when his brother Bastian alleged that he was approached by some police officers when under arrest to tell them something about corruption with Mater Dei tenders.

As they say, where there’s smoke there’s fire – It’s useless trying to pretend it’s just incense burning in the church of St. Gregory’s.

Where was that picture taken? It does not look like Malta.
