Marie Louise Coleiro Preca and her assembled throng of grim and ugly Madames and Monsieurs Defarge have apparently just announced an execution by firing squad.
Those faces are enough to send the economy into recession. Does anybody ever smile in this government, apart from its leader, who only does so sardonically anyway?

Look into the pains into which this article (which seems to be a quote from an official press release) got into to try to justify the new chairman’s appointment. Seems they’re trying hard to conceal the real issue here: conflict of interest.
How can a consultant to gaming companies be engaged as chairman of the regulatory body? Will he divest himself of his private practice?

The photograph itself is also awful. Somehow those other two photographers (I wonder who they are) were given priority and the DOI photographer had to shoot over their heads and still didn’t manage to get them out of the picture and getting an awful angle.

Thank you for the good laugh. With your post and the comments ensuing, you brightened up my evening. Cannot add anything as everyone seems to have noticed all the things I did, even down to the Minister’s shoes.
Although I feel I have to add that while it’s funny to see these people at work, it is also so very sad for Malta to be run by these same people.
Just by looking at their grumpy faces, the elderly residents will pray harder to meet their Creator.
