Does ‘Mrs Michelle Muscat’ have her own official car and chauffeur?
The prime ministerial twins have been seen being dropped off at ballet lessons by a chauffeur-driven large, black Peugeot with ‘Mrs Michelle Muscat’ inside it.
The car and chauffeur then waited for the children for around an hour until the lesson was over.
Is there something we should be told? The Muscat family car has been leased to the state so that the pater familias can carry on using it while being paid to do so (and getting a chaffeur for it too).
So which car is this, in which ‘Mrs Michelle Muscat’ was seen ferried about?
Note to Super One, Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando and other assorted Laburisti with the IQ of a malicious chicken (not free-range or corn-fed): this is not an attakk fahxi fuq it-tfal tal-prim ministru.
This is a public-interest question on the day the prime minister announced that he will be bringing down the deficit by paying the Malta Communications Authority chairman less than his predecessor (which means no more than Eur2,999).

The Malta Labour Party never worked in this environment and the signs of panic are everywhere to be seen already.
The accusations of working against the national interest, designed to incite the anger of the mob, are not sticking to Simon. He is not going to become a victim of Labour terror.
We never had ‘comments boards’ or the internet in the Golden Years of ‘mhux fl-interess tal-poplu’.
People my age would tell you that once on a Saturday evening phone-in on Radju Malta, Vincent Scerri (the host) asked the caller whether he would like to send a message to the Maltese public.
The caller immediately obliged “ghada kullhadd ghal fuq il-Fosos”. There was going to be a PN mass meeting on the Floriana Granaries on Sunday. That was in the 1980s, when the PN was in Opposition.
That was considered extremely risky and daring.
I remember Prime Minister Alfred Sant’s facial expression, when he was accosted by a a Net TV reporter outside parliament, who him “Qieghed f’xandira diretta fuq Net TV. Allura issa se tirrizenja kif wieghedt?”. That was like a lightning strike for Sant.
As an MEP Joseph Muscat did his best to block EU funds for the waste-recycling plant at M’Scala. Happily, his best wasn’t enough.
As a PM he moans that Simon Busuttil and others are stopping him from carrying out the extravagant promises he was foolhardy enough to make before the elections.
Is this the Madame Tussaud’s version of Onassis and Maria Callas?
You mean Onassis and Jackie Kennedy .
You wish she had at least a bit of style that Jackie Kennedy had. She looks like La Befana come early.

What about the switching off of the ‘eternal’ flame on heh war memorial in Floriana to save a paltry 7,000 euros a year?
Reminds one of the little Dutch boy sticking his small finger in the hole of a collapsing dyke hoping to avert a catastrophic inundation!
Speaking about chauffeurs: this afternoon I saw JPO being driven in his JPO 001. He was being driven in Kalkara on his way to the MCST. Does he also have a chauffeur?
[Daphne – Maybe he’s just reached the stage where he starts drinking Earl Grey as soon as he wakes up.]
He was holding on to the handle while being driven so you may well be right.
In Joseph’s answering style: WHY NOT?
The Peugeot is definitely not her car as evidenced in this video:

Is Michelle leasing her Kia Sportage to the government as well?
Have we just replaced the ‘klikka’ with the aristocracy?
Maybe Franco Debono can send us a thousand text messages a day to let us know.
So Ms M. Muscat stays an hour in the car with the chauffeur, or goes inside with the children and attends their class? Is this place in Old College Street, Sliema?
What was the prime minister’s family/official car doing outside the InterContinental last night at 11.45pm?
As far as I know, ministers (and I would assume the Prime Minister as well) are entitled to a second car. These are not supposed to be chauffeur-driven though. What I do recall for certain is that very few of the members of the previous administration actually availed themselves of this privilege.
What was the prime minister’s family car/official car doing outside the Diplomat Hotel in Sliema two days ago? Is he touring hotels, or what?
The great Buffet tour is on.
But we know what it was doing outside Queen’s in Hamrun – buying pork pies for the boss.
Maybe these hotel visits have something to do with the extra two storeys the owners will be allowed to add to the existing ones.
While the former government was loosely termed as a governing oligarchy, the new administration may well be degenerating into a plutocracy.
Love the pic! that Ray is really a frazzled old fart.
It feels like LATE 1986 early 1987 all over again, when droves of unemployed were taken in at Telemalta, Enemalta and Airmalta, Same as then, PL supporters came in and took my place, taking control.
