So heads of secretariat are now state-paid personal manservants with extensive business interests

The Police, Army and Broadcasting Minister’s young twin sons were dropped off at school this morning (St Edward’s College) by his head of secretariat, the businessman Silvio Scerri (Nexos Lighting), in a chauffeur-driven BMW with the number-plate ZER 088.

I trust that with a number-plate like that, it wasn’t a ministerial car at least. Though one never knows, he could have leased his personal car to the ministry, following the prime minister’s example. If it was a private car, it shouldn’t have been chauffeured.

There’s enough food to take for his freezer, so he don’t spent money on food.
