Ah, Lara Billboard is also a plagiarist

Lara's plagiarism

Lara Billboard, on Facebook this morning, on the subject of being asked questions about how she got her job at the Malta Council for Science and Technology:

I will just ignore her. I will ignore her so hard that she will doubt her own existence.

Being “proud of it” wasn’t enough: she wanted a job, a salary and a place on the board of a state corporation (about which she knows nothing) too.

Well done Daphne, that shows how popular your blog must be.

Lara Boffa’s mother, Pauline Caruana from Zejtun, was a hairdresser with a primary school level of education.

Her father was a carpenter who hardly worked because of his drinking problems. His mother, called Virgandina, died poisoned by lampik whisky, distilled in Zebbug. Pauline’s siblings were always drunk and up to no good.

Pauline used to wear make-up as if she were an Apache, and paraded herself about relentlessly.

She successfully set her cap at Perit Joe Boffa, who was more than old enough to be her father, and a very retiring sort. He was called ‘il-Profs’, which is why his daughter has taken up the most unsuitable habit of using a ‘laqam’, and calls herself ‘tal-profs’, even on Facebook. You are right in intuiting that there were problems of acceptance with her mother-in-law, and that Lara’s mother’s testimonial for Mintoff’s heir, in the election campaign, is rooted in this as well as in her lifelong support for Labour.

Lara’s mother discovered that social status and marrying a ‘pulit’ do not automatically translate into riches. She worked for a while for her aunt Doris Mizzi, who had an antiques shop in Paola. Doris Mizzi’s daughter is Marion Mizzi of Myoka, an unelected Labour candidate. Lara Boffa’s mother and Marion Mizzi are first cousins – Labour through and through.

Is it true that she’s related to Dr Pawlu Boffa, leader of the Malta Workers’ Party?

[Daphne – You have a lot of catching up to do. Yes, she is his granddaughter, but there is a ‘gap’ in the generations because she was born when her father was in his 50s.]

Yes I found out later after reading your earlier posts for the day. Sorry for the wasted space and many thanks for your blog posts

Hamallagni. You can take the girl out the village…

or in this case you can leave the girl in the village, smack some lipstick on her, and give her jobs she doesn’t deserve.

Lara, big girls leave the village, work hard and get by because they deserve it. Only the truly mediocre get by as you do.

She should be ashamed not proud, especially considering who her grandfather was.

[Daphne – Lara Boffa is her mother’s (a Labour hairdresser from Zejtun) daughter, a situation exacerbated by the fact that her father was old enough to be her grandfather, and so would have had next to no influence on his children, as always happens in these situations.]

Good assessment in your comment. It explains why there is no pride or remorse in bandying around her surname in a party that utterly destroyed her grandfather – a politician and a doctor who was loved and admired by the population for his integrity, dedication and sense of altruism.

This is the impression I formed from my father’s recollections of the man and his party. After the devastation of the War and the new consciousness of the Maltese, Pawlu Boffa was extremely popular which explains his record 60% record vote in the successive election.

Observing how she misread what you wrote about the generation gap between herself and her ‘dear’ father (and consequently her so-called grandfather), one can easily conclude that she is THAT stupid.

No wonder she fits in so perfectly with the MLP.

Another fake switcher – like that other billboard girl ‘Romana’ Frendo – yet another Mintoffjana from Zejtun.

She says she will ignore you so much that you wouldn’t know you exist. I tell her it will take more for you not to know you exist than her ignoring you. A pretty face does not make one intelligent does it?
