The appalling Alex Sceberras Trigona, a man rejected even by Alfred Sant, who was one of Mintoff’s and KMB’s worst ministers in the 1980s – thugs beat up demonstrators on his office doorstep – as Malta’s permanent representative to the World Trade Organisation in Geneva
The disgusting, pussy-whipped, malicious, spiteful and backbone-free Jesmond Mugliett to the board of the Foundation for Tomorrow’s Schools
Monsignor Joe Vella Gauci, a priest with a longstanding girlfriend, as Malta’s representative at UNESCO. The Department of Information statement about his appointment includes the immortal line that Malta’s representative to UNESCO will now be based at an office in Gozo – because that’s where this priest and his girlfriend live, ostensibly separately.
Don’t the rules of the RC Church prevent Monsignor Gauci from taking up a government appointment of this nature?
Excellent, some very extensive home economics facilities in tomorrow’s schools then.
Did he finish his scholarship?

Separate topic: the big drop in cruise passengers in Malta is very worrying when compared with the substantial rise for some other Mediterranean ports. For example Barcelona saw a rise of 8% over the same period. Is anyone in the Ministry of Tourism looking into what is making Malta less attractive?

Shouldnt he be wearing his official clergy suit with white collar? Or is he ashamed to show he is a priest?
Il-quddiem sejrin.
AST – the deadbeat’s deadbeat.
These landed their iced bun but poor John Bundy has been left out in the cold. And he thought that he would become the new CEO at PBS.
How does it feel being unemployed unde the Government which you made so damn sure will get elected Johnny Bundy?
Alex Sceberras Trigona? And we thought Jurassic Park was fiction.
Does buying bullets and crowd control equipment from North Korea amount to world trade experience?
Yes, I suppose, it does. But I am not aware that he has any real experience in radio hosting or being a master of ceremonies for the Muscats, or running a menswear shop. I think Manwel Cuschieri was the better choice.
I think the more pertinent question is: would Net TV take him back? I don’t think John Bundy needs to waste his time considering whether to go back to Net or not. He’s burnt his bridges there. And IF Net would take him back, it would not do them any honour; it would only show a lack of discernment from their part.

Tajjeb ukoll u l-Kurja thalli kollox ghaddej?
Anglu Farrugia has:
a) a very warped and twisted understanding of democracy and transperency;
b) is deep in the Alijevs’ pockets; or
c) is much more of a pillock than I ever thought he was.
Looking at his Labour credentials, I would dare say that its option “a” or “b”. However, I cannot honestly say that I exclude option “c”.

The separation of Church from State is only invoked when the teaching of Christ and his Church are at variance with some MLP pet initiative. It is not invoked when members of the clergy are brashly recruited by the Labour Movement and remunerated out of the public purse to advance its political agenda in international fora.
“Waivers” from ethical behaviour are becoming all the rage nowadays.
Don’t you also think it could include getting a kick from exposing the Church in this light, for the single time there is Church involvement?
Same as getting Anglu, of all people, to be Speaker of the House?

Tuks force is back. Cringe.
That man Mugliett wasn’t able to build a bridge on time and in budget, and now he is expected to build schools on time and in budget.
Bu then he’s in luck, because this government won’t be building any.
Wow … A priest with a longstanding girlfriend … Whoever said life on Gozo is boring?
Don’t they have to take a vow of chastity?
No wonder Chris Cardona asked for help. He can’t cope with the number of lay-offs.
This is beyond belief.
On another note, did anyone watch the speech given by this woman at the European Parliament in Strasbourg today?
http://www.euronews.com/2013/10/22/aung-san-suu-kyi-accepts-eu-s-sakharov-prize-23-years-after-it-was-awarded/
Our current leaders should listen to her speech and maybe learn something about being inspirational.
And what about Luciano Busuttil for Chairman Kunsill Malti ghall-Isport?
