‘A common front regarding illegal migration’

Our amazingly secular government appoints a man of the cloth – a monsignor, no less, but he’s got a girlfriend, so at least that’s liberal and progressive as they see it – Malta’s representative at UNESCO, allows him to work out of an office at home in Gozo, and the Department of Information press release announcing this news is titled:
A COMMON FRONT REGARDING ILLEGAL MIGRATION.
I just love that ‘regarding’. Whoever is writing these government press releases nowadays loves it even more and uses it as often as possible in press release headings.

Mela staha juri li huwa qassis. Tal-misthija. Ara kemm huwa lest jaghti hajtu ghal Kristu.
Charlie, these socialite priests have always existed. They are typically vain, career-bent, unscrupulous individuals who create their own rules as they go along (or rather, go up).
They are the ones who Paul VI, John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Francis have constantly warned about and warned against, telling them to get rid of flashy cars, flashy accoutrements and flashy lifestyles.
Why do you think Bishop Grech immediately removed him as Cathedral Archpriest, as soon as he was installed? Bishop Cauchi couldn’t do so because this monsignor went against him head-to-head and it would have appeared to have been petty vengeance.
Could have been worse. Could have been “vis-a-vis”.
