Nice friends you’ve got there, Joseph. Really progressive and liberal. Be sure to hurry and integrate us with them as quickly as possible.
The English online edition of Spain’s leading national daily, El Pais, reports:
The Chinese government has blocked the EL PAÍS website to prevent its citizens from accessing a special report published Wednesday revealing that the families of the country’s top leaders, including the president and members of the National People’s Congress, are making use of offshore companies in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) – a tax haven in the Caribbean.
Beijing has also blocked the webpages of Le Monde, The Guardian, Süddeutsche Zeitung and other media outlets, all of which have participated in the two-year investigation that has been undertaken by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). The blockage contradicts the new policy of transparency being promoted by China’s new president, Xi Jinping, who has also announced hardline measures against corruption by Chinese officials.

That’s nothing new. As far as I know, even YouTube is blocked in China.
But I’m sure that many diehard Labourites indoctrinated on Mintoffian policies see nothing wrong in this. They believe, like their fallen and defunct idol used to do, that any news like this “mhux fl-interess tal-poplu.”
They’re as transparent as Joseph.
It is probably the reason why Labourites inadvertently say “blokker” rather than “blogger.” Their intention is to block the damned things and shut Malta out from foreign and domestic interference.
