I hope Jason Micallef doesn’t understand this – well, I really don’t think he will – or we’ll have a protracted hissy fit on our hands and there’s no knowing where that will go.

For Jason Micallef’s sake and that of other readers, I think we need to explain that the Brits use the term “oddly compelling viewing” to describe a show that is fascinating to watch because it’s so awful, kitsch and/or unintentionally hilarious.
All that’s missing is a penalty shootout.
