And our government (possibly when it was in Opposition) chose to strike a deal with the corrupt and despotic regime of Azerbaijan for its power station project

You really have to read the piece in the link below and ask yourself what in heaven’s name the Muscat government (or was it the Muscat Opposition?) was thinking of in creating a situation where the corrupt and despotic Aliyev regime of Azerbaijan owns 20% of Malta’s new power station, while the communist regime of China owns 33% of Enemalta.
Did I hear somebody say ‘arlogg tal-lira’? Don’t you feel stupid now. I certainly would.

The question must be asked again:
What was Shiv Nair’s role in all of this, as advisor to the Azerbaijan government, the Chinese communist dictatorship, and to Joseph Muscat even when he was Opposition leader?
Why have Nair’s UK business interests been registered at the home address of the assistant to Edward de Bono, Mrs Patricia Hills – also known as Paddy Hills – since 1996?
What are the interests of that assistant, her husband and that whole inner circle, in this affair?
Why is there no transparency by Joseph Muscat as to the contracts and agreements with these parties, the pre-election arrangements, the pre-tender agreements, the sale of citizenship?
Why is the Maltese population allowing itself to be blindly led down this route?
Shiv Nair has very kindly offered his address to the Azerbaijani stamp collectors’ union.
They must have some very interesting mail.
Very good question.
We Maltese never change. We never had the foresight to show our disapproval of anything before it is too late. Just like not removing danger before a fatal accident occurs.
I don’t know whether it’s ignorance or apathy. All I know is that we shall be condemned by future generations, that is, the intelligent ones.

By now it’s become crystal clear why Joseph Muscat kept his roadmap so close to his chest before last year’s election.
How could he have explained it to Lou Bondi back then that he planned to raise a billion euro from the flash sale of Maltese citizenship?
Or that he would have no scruples flirting with the likes of China and Azerbaijan to attract dubious and potentially very dangerous investments?
Or that token fools, like Lou Bondi himself, would be pacified with a little piece of the action that gives them their favourite kind of boner?
Or that his rowdmepp also included a swift clean sweep of the civil service and the installation of a puppet army and police administration so that he can maintain absolute control?
Or that any sign of possible threat, no matter how small, to the long term continuation of his reign, will be eliminated by kicking her upstairs?
Clearly the “moviment” was just a vehicle to get himself elected. Now Joseph is taking us down to a dark, dark place and we have no choice but to brace ourselves for the ride.
Malta will be a very different place by the time enough people realise what’s happened to start to make a difference.
If I wasn’t so worried about Malta’s future, I would sit back and smirk with satisfaction at all those people who called me a fanatic last year, because I predicted most of the things that are actually happening now. And this was mostly due to the way Joseph Muscat kept that roadmap too close to his chest, as you put it.
Same thing happened when the then Leader of Opposition visited China in 2010. I am positively sure that the Muscatian-Sale-of-Passports scheme was discussed, planned and agreed upon during that visit. If I am wrong, then why does the PM, even today, after almost 4 years from that visit, refuses to divulge the contents of the ‘agreement’ he signed while still in Opposition with the Chinese government?

Yet incredibly enough, our “free” and “progressive” media steer clear of this and focus on mundane stuff.

Well Britain did not bother to get China to invest in its electricity generation. Why should tiny Malta be criticised for trying to clean the mess left at Enemalta by a lazy corrupt government ?
The Maltese partners signed the deal BEFORE the elections and leased a 40-year-old LNG storage ship before the election results were out. FACT.
This country is going to the dogs. I read and I weep.
