UPDATED WITH SCREEN SHOT: Can Malta Today make their personal agenda more obvious?

Published: March 29, 2014 at 9:22pm

The original title of this video, when Malta Today uploaded it, was:

BREAKING: Daphne Caruana Galizia is a cunt

One of those infantile, emotionally, psychologically and sexually arrested army of odd men who staff the Malta Today newsroom must have titled it that way as an in-house joke, then forgot to change the title on upload.

Lots of people saw it there for a few minutes. Can anyone send me a screenshot to [email protected], please?

I’d like to hang onto it as proof of how progressive, liberal and feminist the Malta Today crowd are. I wish I could call them pricks, but they probably don’t even have one between them.

UPDATE: Somebody has sent in a screen shot.

  1. Benny Hill says:

Oh God. I wonder what Saviour Balzan or Matthew Vella will say to the guy who did this. Bastards. Bastards fenominali, to quote our Minister for Ovaltine.

  2. M. Cassar says:

They do hate a woman with brains don’t they? Condolences to all the women in their lives. It must really be hell living with men like that.

    • ciccio says:

Those men at Malta Today desperately need to buy one of those ceiling mirrors which they had once advertised on their rag.

  3. Paul says:

The rubbish the guy on Realta is saying is almost unbearable. I hope the Opposition calls for a right of reply. A whole programme!

  4. A+ says:

Shameful! In a decent country, they would issue an apology and announce resignation. But Malta is not a normal place, isn’t it? Perhaps, their political masters are thrilled

  5. M. says:

What a load of twats! How can anybody take them seriously?

  6. A Montebello says:

    Just living here is exhausting.

    Can’t you sue these people?

[Daphne – For calling me a cunt? As if. It’s exactly like dealing with those boys who used to bitch about me from afar and call me names because they thought I was out of their league (rightly so) and their strategy was to insult me instead of being spurned – back when we were 16. They’re emotionally arrested, with the psychology of teenage boys. Progressive and liberal, my left toe. It’s a wonder any of them can get a date.]

    • beingpressed says:

Surely there is an authority which will fine Malta Today.

    • H.P. Baxxter says:

Saviour Balzan hasn’t yet called me a cunt. He doesn’t fancy me.

    • A Montebello says:

But those boys were teenagers and weren’t running a news portal and paper.

Could you therefore remind us just how many people visit your pages on a daily basis?

I would like MaltaToday to realize, in spite of having removed their really funny post, how many people have seen first hand just how low they can stoop.

    • bob-a-job says:

Saturday, 9 March 2013 is the only date they know but it won’t last forever.

  7. La Redoute says:

That’s how it shows up in your page preview.

  8. ciccio says:

    X’hamallagni.

Could it be their reaction to the earlier comment about Julia tal-Botom?

  9. Beingpressed says:

It could have been worse. They could of called you a clown.

  10. TinaB says:

    X’serjeta dik, God Bless.

Jistghu tal-Malta Today jaqaw aktar fil-baxx minn hekk?

  11. Jozef says:

Prophetic or what. Fenech nailed it at 3.20. Incidentally this was Mizzi’s first ever appearance on TV.

  12. Alexander Ball says:

Phew. Imagine if they thought highly of you. That’s the time to get upset.

  13. just me says:

Daphne take it as a sort of compliment. It shows you are constantly in their thoughts because you an enormous thorn in their side.
    Keep up your excellent work.

  14. Anthony says:

As long as Malta Today calls Daphne a cunt I am reassured that she is still as brilliant as ever.

The moment they start praising her, God forbid, then Malta is in serious trouble.

  15. Neil says:

Saviour Balzan and Matthew Vella are cunts. And that’s not breaking news.

  16. Neil says:

Tell you what, the past year has NOT been kind to Konrad. I didn’t recognise him in the screenshot here, the bloated, baggy eyed appearance threw me. Maybe he’s missing his estranged wife, and has hit the bottle?

That said, my not recognizing him has made me break my own record. Up until tonight, I had successfully avoided listening to this guy’s annoying voice, or even watching him speak on telly, online, or anywhere since BEFORE the election! But, thanks to you Daphne, I watched this clip.

Yeah thanks for that, Daphne. ‘Preciate it……

    • Mimmi says:

Fine observation. He really looks bloated and fat, well they all become fattened geese when they’re up there … all the fine free food and drink + unlimited perks.

  17. ken il malti says:

If it wasn’t for a cunt I would not be here in this world and neither would they.

    A cunt is mighty useful.

  18. Dave says:

That’s the Maltese version of a Pulitzer. Especially coming from the Government of Malta’s chosen successor to the now defunct (or at least covered in cobwebs) Maltastar.

By the way one is still waiting for more to follow the ending to this article… http://maltastar.com/dart/20140329-health-minister-resigns

  19. kev says:

The question is, how did they know?

  20. J. Agius says:

It is clear that you are a constant thorn in their side and they haven’t got a clue how to deal with it other than insult you.

Konrad ‘Fenomenali’ Mizzi continues to make a fool of himself and in true Labour style constantly patronises hospital staff. Pathetic!

The irony of it all is health and energy (and the pollution that goes with it) don’t go together.

  21. #RantOver says:

How very professional Mr Vella or Mr Balzan. Come on, cut these guys some slack. I’m sure with faces and attitudes like theirs, they can’t get much of the c**t they want and never have, hence the fixation.

  22. #RantOver says:

MaltaToday is quite fitting of the base name assigned to this particular video. It truly mirrors how Malta has become today (unfortunately), in a matter of a year and a month: basically power in the hands of handful/select few chavs and hamalli.

I have to write this saying in Maltese though, since I believe it is quite fitting: lil min tafu, tistaqsix ghalih. Indeed worthy of MaltaToday.

  23. Albert Floyd says:

Malta Today should issue a public statement apologising for this gross insult and stupidity. I also believe that the Institute of Maltese Journalists should also reprimand the journalist and newspaper (newsportal) involved.

Than again, I’d rather have Saviour Balzan and his lot involved is such crass unethical behaviour – because nothing better is expected of them – than watch Lou Bondi sitting cosy next to Jason Micallef on Xarabank defending Gensna while repeatedly uploading photos and videos of his baby as though he’s the only person ever to have had one, though it’s true that not many men go about having babies at close to 60.
