Mass meeting Bormla – just in case you pseudo-liberals are interested

They’re sticking with the fascist meme and soundtrack, I see.

The meeting is being promoted on Facebook by Enemalta director and Malta Council for Science and Technology PRO (and personal assistant to senior management) Lara Boffa.

  1. curious says:

Oh, breaking from tradition, are we.

Will the switchers be going to Bormla?

  2. ciccio says:

    Triq ix-Xatt, Bormla.

Is Joseph Muscat taking Alfred Sant back there to call Mintoff and his supporters “tradituri”?

  3. Augustus says:

It’s very cosy to play home.

    • Violet says:

He just wants to play dirty and give the impression that he still enjoys majority. Under estimating the intelligence of the Maltese people as always.

  4. ciccio says:

Since the days when Labour’s propaganda secretary used to produce porn films at Labour’s HQ at the Macina, starring some of the Pom Pom girls, Labour has always regarded Bormla as their spiritual home.

Will Mary Spiteri and Ira Losco be there to sing Tema 79 from Gensna?

  5. Gobsmacked says:

    “Qeghdin nibdluh dan il-pajjiz.”

Dammit, he’s sure right on this one.

  6. CIS says:

Is there where the big news for Malta will be announced? Can’t wait.

    • ciccio says:

No sign of the “big news” here:

      http://www.maltatoday.com.mt/news/europe_2014/38481/investment_with_china_to_expand_new_health_plan_being_polished

Unless of course you are taken in by phrases like:

“Malta was seeking to expand its collaboration with China…”

“Malta was looking to tap into opportunities with the United States and the Gulf Countries through state-to-state agreements…”

“…Malta would seek state-to-state agreements with countries such as the Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait…”

“Huge potential laid in the financial, maritime and aviation sectors…”

“…the deal with Shanghai Power Electric was on track,…”

“The Chinese will be investing heavily in the Mediterranean and Europe…”

“Together with the Chinese, Malta will be investing in European countries…”

“We have an overarching inspiration to work with the private sector.”

They all sound like a list of platitudes to me.

  7. bob-a-job says:

    “Qeghdin nibdluh dan il-pajjiz.”

A more appropriate word comes to mind that also starts with ‘n’ and finishes with ‘h’

  8. Nana says:

Lara Boffa is promoting the Labour mass meeting for the the first of May. Lara, I will come to the meeting when Muscat gives me a job like he gave to you and the others, like Konrad Mizzi’s wife.

    So how about that?

  9. Tracy says:

‘Qeghdin inbiddluh dan il-pajjiz’ – ghal darba qed jghid il-verita’. Iva qed ibiddel il-pajjiz, mill-HAZIN ghall-AGHAR.

  10. one of us says:

Will kitten from Malta be going? Will the Bormlese understand a word he’s saying?

  11. Carmel Said says:

    Uzgur li qed ibidluh il-pajjiz…ghall-aghar!

They are taking the country 3 decades back to the 80s

  12. C C says:

Bormla zgur ikollu n-nies ghax il-hmieg Mintufjan tal-Kottonera kollha tohrog.

Mela qed jibza jekk jaghmlu x’ imkien iehor li ma jigux nies?

  13. C.Portelli says:

Oh I can’t wait! I’ll just dress up as donkey and go.

  14. Joe Fenech says:

    U veru qed ibiddluh ‘il-pajjiz !

  15. Gaetano Pace says:

Quo Vadis GWU ? Down Republic Street on a truck tax-Xatt or down Bormla Wharf on a Labour Palk ?
