Why is the prime minister tweeting about Isle of MTV, including a competition to win a free trip?

Maybe he makes money off these tweets like other celebrities do. Or maybe he’s making money by being signed up to some sort of tweet advertising machine. Who knows.
The reason is that the prime minister understands that a sizeable section of the population is impressed with such antics. Such use of the social media is unbecoming of a prime minister but acceptable for a campaign manager.
Perhaps Gavin Gulia has appointed him marketing consultant to the Malta Tourism Authority. Nothing would surprise me at this stage.
Simple, because standards have – what was that word again? – gone to the docks.

Why hasn’t the line-up for Isle of MTV been announced yet? What kind of advertisement is MTA gonna do internationally re Isle of MTV? or has Isle of MTV been relegated to a local festival rather than an international concert which we can exploit tourism-wise?
