Reuters reports:
Italy will settle the debt arrears it owes to private sector suppliers by the end of this year, Economy Minister Pier Carlo Padoan said in an interview yesterday, pushing back previous commitments.
The Italian state owes some €75 billion to private suppliers, according to the most recent data from the Bank of Italy. The unpaid bills have starved companies of cash and triggered layoffs, factory closures and bankruptcies.

How much does the Maltese government owe Polidano c-Caqnu?
You should ask: How much does Polidano owe to the banks?
You’d be mad to work in Italy. You’re either an employee and receive a rubbish salary or if you’re self-employed, you practically give what you earn to the state.
Which is why so many Italians have moved to Malta.
And why Franco Debono chose to stay here .
Sounds like Price Club.
