Where is Mannie Galea? Has he resigned or been fired?

His absence on the airport runway was really quite conspicuous. It wasn’t because he played no part in the rescue at all. Faberge Egg Mallia didn’t either, and yet he was there, probably with a sarcastic remark at the ready in case any reporter woke up and asked him whether he had lined Codruta’s cage with that Libyan MOU.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has removed his name and details from the Tripoli embassy page.

What do you expect from a man who uses an ex Gaddafi embassy driver for a personal assistant and allows himself to be accompanied everywhere by four bearded Islamist bodyguards who are supposedly protecting the Radisson in Tripoli?
That’s interesting.
This Republic engages the services of islamist militants, and not one of our so-called journalists care, dare, ask what the hell we’re up to.
The government should learn from this incident why it is crucial for professional and experienced diplomats to serve to such countries.
You do realise that you are talking about PL aren’t you? As we’ve learnt over the last 16-17 months, they never learn and never change. Why should they? They will always find those who will make excuses for them and, as a general rule, they are held to a much lower standard than PN.
You make the mistake of assuming that the country’s priorities are the government priorities. I suggest you see what they do and not hear what they say. You would be surprised (i.e disgusted).
On Super one two days ago they spoke of him as if he were managing everything from his Tripoli office.
We can easily conclude that anything which has a whiff of John Dalli becomes toxic.
What do you expect from a ‘buffu bla bajd’?
Probably you don’t have a job and no education what’s so ever ghalekk tuwgak zaqqek int. Dak perit u jekk il-pm hattru ambaxxatur sinjal li saghbu addattat.. L’injuranti bhalek qeghdin hawn jikkummentaw fil- vojt ! Go and find a real job siehbi! U tighdlu bla bajd? Mur qatta jumejn int il-libya ? Halli jgibuk titkellem wahdek :)
Mannie Galea ran away from the conflict to save his sorry ass, while Maltese citizens were left to fend for themselves.
The PM even had the audacity to tell Maltese citizens in Libya to use commercial flights and pay the fare themselves.
And then he pompously presents himself at the airport as the new Salvatur ta’ Malta.
W*nker.
ilbsu z zarbun tieghu imqar ghal gurnata.u tiddefsux la ma tafux bull shitters.mela li jissogra u fil libya u l familja qeghda hawn Malta mela hu mhux uman ukoll.

With all the respect Manuelita (cause that’s what they should call you) I think it’s you who actually w*nks your self every minute! And probably that’s your only job that’s why it’s bothering you! For your info The ambassador ( looks like the title hurts you) mannie Galea didn’t run away like all of you think he did! For me he is actually a man more then all of you could ever be cause he is still there helping people! And what makes me angry is stupid people like you talking shit without knowing. This human being who is actually maltese more then you are has a family too you know! but he is still there serving our country and our people even though there is a great risk of getting killed! And what do you expect that the government pays for the citizens to come back? And goes from our taxes? People like you ruined this country! What do you think the British embassy did? Served them diamonds on a plate! No, but with a bill to pay right away or back home in uk! AND who didn’t pay right away was issued a temporary British passport while the original one was confiscated as a guarantee until paying back! Inform yourself before you throw shit! It’s not his fault what’s happening in libya and actually he’s maybe the only ambassador still there… Now go and get a job instead of talking nonsense.
Is he already working on the re-construction of Tripoli?
Here is some useful tips on architecture:

X’tistenna minn nies bhal dawn. Dawn in-nies lehqu biex jinqdew mhux biex jaqdu.
Naf lil Manny u lill-familja tieghu sa minn meta kien ghadu tifel ckejken, Kienu joqghodu f’dar kbira fi gnien li fiha, skont l-ghidut, kienu jaraw karozzella migbuda minn seba’ t’izwiemel.
Jidher li Manny tghallem haga wahda minghand dan l-ihirsa – sparixxa fis-siegha tal-prova.
