If you want to know what happened to Martin Galea, Miriam, why don’t you just ask him?
Miriam Dalli (the tubby one) over at Malta Today is on a full-out offensive spreading her favourite man Kurt Farrugia’s government message that maybe Martin Galea wasn’t abducted after all and he has no signs of violence on him.
Her title? GOVERNMENT STILL PUTTING TOGETHER WHAT HAPPENED TO GALEA
Why does the government have to put anything together? Galea is conscious and over the age of 18. They can just ask him, and in fact, they did so.
There is to be an interview with him in The Malta Independent tomorrow. Malta Today could have asked him some questions themselves instead of helping its government friends with their damage limitation exercise.
Are we expected to believe that three cabinet ministers, the head of the security service and the commanding officer of the Armed Forces of Malta turned up to the airport to meet somebody who hadn’t been abducted?
All this ever was to the government was a chance for some good dramatic publicity. The real human beings involved were just cardboard cut-outs on the stage. When the publicity attempt backfired, instead of having the basic human decency to stick to expressing gratitude for and relief at the man’s return, they spread lies. Disgusting.

Baxxter, what is wrong with Muscat’s jacket – apart from the fact that he’s wearing it?
Bad tailoring. It’s clearly ill-fitting, sleeves three inches too short, and at least two sizes smaller around the circumference.
What is Kurt singing in between Mr Galea and Dr Muscat? I also found it funny how Gorg Vella embraced the woman he accused of corruption.
Kurt’s singing the ‘Cookie Monster’ song.
George Bushy eyebrows is hugging Marisa Farrugia perhaps because he’s going to stab her in the back the way these people do.
‘Money Mannie Money’
Why wasn’t the minister of finance with the other ministers greeting Mr Martin Galea on his arrival at MIA?
€400,000 is not a small amount.
Less than one passport issued by Manwel Mallia, who was on the tarmac.
Never mind. Since Galea happens to have two passports, he can always give one back to the state. They can flog it and cover the expenses.

Personally, I am not so sure that it was all about a great photo op for the PM. I have, and have had for a while, a sneaking suspicion that it all works the other way round for him. His way of getting votes is totally upside down.
You would think that a politician would want to do and say things that will appeal to the public in order to gain public approval. Photo ops holding a child, helping elderly people across the road, that sort of thing.
However with Labour I think it works the other way round. It is not about gaining public approval. It is about making members of the public feel like part of the in crowd, making them feel like celebrities.
This would make them not just approve of them. It’s about making you need them to do well because it means that your position as some sort of celebrity is sustainable.
For example, the bill boards people. It wasn’t about getting their approval or getting them to agree with them on policy. It was about the PL making them celebrities. And what mindless idiot doesn’t want to be a celebrity?
Using the big fish small pond syndrome many suffer from in Malta, he gave them a status. It is in the individual’s self interest for Labour to be popular or else they aren’t popular themselves.
What I think we are seeing here is Labour doing its thing vis-a-vis gaining support, but not from the public – from Mr Galea himself. Making him feel like a celebrity and he’ll be on their next billboards.
I wouldn’t think so – not with the brazen lies they’re telling about him.
Actually, I do think they are that stupid as to try, and lie about him all the same.
“Disgusting”
You can say that again Daphne. This man does not know where’s the limit. He keeps on reaching lower levels that we thought did not exist or could not exist in politics. But now we know better thanks to Joseph Muscat and his cronies.
“an older and a wiser man he woke the morrow morn”, the Ancient Mariner. We Maltese shall all be older and mostly, hopefully, wiser when we wake up from this nightmare that many are mistaking for a nice dream.
The Maltese may shoot at every albatross that flies overhead, but I doubt they’ll ever have the wisdom of the Ancient Mariner.
‘We Maltese shall all be older and mostly, hopefully, wiser’
I wouldn’t place a bet on that. Its just incredibly how people tend to see things just as their beloved Joseph wants them to.
They will once again fall victims to Joseph Muscat’s new set of promises, supplemented with a good doze of whacking the PN.
In my opinion it will take many many years of educating minds for people to make a sensible and intelligent choice.
Kurt the spin doctor’s cunning plan is spinning out of control.

When I read Malta Today’s Miriam Dalli I ask myself certain questions such as: “Do people have different types of brain?” and “Is that how they’re thought to think at University (if at all)?”
There’s education, and there’s common sense.
