The Parliamentary Secretariat for Health has told Times of Malta that “the health authorities have issued a warning to doctors and border officials to be on the look-out” for people entering Malta who may have signs that they are carrying the Ebola virus.

God knows how they are expected to tell – surely the standard control should be checking anyone from a high-risk area.

But anyway, border official Norman Vella has said that this is not true. They haven’t been told anything of the sort.

On the subject of free and fair I found myself smiling wryly on seeing this in print: ‘Yes, brother,’ replied Mr Palazzotto jokingly. ‘We need to consider your criminal record. We do not take on people with clean records,’ adding ‘Join my team.. We are the strongest, ha ha ha.’
