Just look at the Police Minister’s careless spelling in a very public tweet

Congratulation to the recuits: please, Mr Police Minister, let us know whether your new recuits have been thoroughly trained in blaspheming for the cameras, just like their superiors (see earlier post).

What about spelling. Congratulations without an ‘s’. That makes 2 careless mistakes in a tweet.

  2. Ant Vassallo says:

    Welcome back.

Could the Minister have chosen the (French) word purposely to claim his force is annealed?

    • KALANCC MA (cantab) says:

Ant Vassallo. Yes I think you’re right. For starters the Minister is a man of letters and knows his French (if you know what I mean) and high rank Police officers were talking French to the cameras I am told.

Actually, it reminds me of French “pain recuit” or twice-cooked bread which is delicious. Maybe the new policemen have twice-cooked brains or they are about to join the famed police catering section.

    • Angus Black says:

Does ‘pain recuit’ cause you to gain weight, like refried beans do?

    • H.P. Baxxter says:

Pain recuit is just biscuits. Biscoctum. Panis bis coctus.

      • La Redoute says:

That sounds obscene. How appropriate to the case.

      • H.P. Baxxter says:

Risum teneantis, discipuli? Sniggering during Latin class, eh?

As punishment, you will copy out this quote one hundred times: “Infantem secum semper tua Bassa, Fabulle,
        collocat et lusus deliciasque vocat,
et, quo mireris magis, infantria non est.
ergo quid in causa est? pedere Bassa solet.”

    • Alex says:

Ah, but is it “recuit” or “ercuit”?

Li Mallia hu tan-nejk nista’ nissoponi – anki mill-ftit li nafu.

Li hu daqshekk stupidu, izda, zgur qatt ma ghaddieli minn mohhi.

  5. C Falzon says:

Just one congratulation to share between all those ‘recuits’ ?

  6. P b says:

I see that the police have not changed from when the PN was in power. The same policemen were in the once when useless minister Mifsud Bonnici was in charge. Now we have an inflated minister, marginally better than his predecessor.
