John Dalli’s democratic credentials and commitment to press freedom
I quote from this report in The Malta Independent, of a court hearing held this morning:
Mr Dalli had told a court that he could control attacks against him during Eddie Fenech Adami’s tenure as prime minister but under Dr Gonzi’s he couldn’t. Mr Dalli told a court that attacks leading to his resignation by the media came from media houses such as The Times, The Malta Independent, and national TV station PBS.
“When I eventually resigned I gave a number of reasons why I was doing so, highlighting the attacks which were made in my regard by the newspapers mentioned above,” Mr Dalli said.
The Bahamas-tripping sleaze actually thinks that it’s normal for politicians to “control attacks against” them by the press, and abnormal when they can’t.
Worse, he thinks he can behave like a Bahamas-tripping sleaze and is entitled to have the press controlled by the prime minister so that it keeps silent about his behaviour.
Clearly, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat couldn’t control the world press when Dalli’s fellow sleaze Tal-Mqaret blew up their gravy-train.
But apparently, it’s only controlling the Maltese press that counts with Money-Grubbing Dalli, because he sees Malta as the only partially democratic demesne of politicians, theirs to do with as they please.
Why doesn’t he spend some of that money he’s dedicated the last few decades to grubbing, and go off to the Bahamas for real, leaving us in peace?
I’ll tell you why: because people like him feel IRRELEVANT when they’re out of their Maltese fishpond, no matter how much money they have. Take them out of Malta and they are LOST.
They don’t know how to have fun, they’re totally uncreative, they’re uninterested in anything they see around them unless it has dollar signs writ large all over it, they lack the referential tools to make sense of their experiences outside the island, they’re incredibly small-minded, and their whole relevant universe is Malta. That’s why Dalli felt like a prisoner in Brussels. It must be hell on earth to be like that.

How did a prisoner in Brussels see a doctor in Germany? dr Michael Scholten is based in Mettlach. Did he teleport himself to Brussels or were those certificates fake?
Could it be that the Dallis hear voices, and have visions, while in prison?
Dalli didn’t issue the certificate. Michael Scholten did.
Are you sure about that?
How’d Dalli know about an obscure doctor in a tiny town in the middle of Germany’s nowhere? More to the point, why’d he decide to fake a certificate in that particular doctor’s name?
Maybe Mary Swann/Myrna Klein/Marie Eloise Corbin/ Eloisa Chihan or whatever she calls herself now, could explain.

Actually I am getting a bit confused. If he resigned as he is now saying he did, how is it that he still signs as Commissioner?
He’s talking about the time he was minister in Gonzi’s cabinet.
Brussels must have been a prison without bars seeing that Mr Dalli could flit out undetected to the Bahamas and Singapore.

The tiresome, Mr Dali would do us all a huge favour – especially to Malta’s image – by shutting up and retiring into the sunset and enjoying his millions. I know, wishful thinking. Mainly this biggest favour would be to the Prime Minister, at this point, I would hazard to guess.

I really pity Mr Dalli for wherever he goes there’s always somebody ready to stab him in the back and attack him. Poor man, life is too short, Mr Dalli, so go get yourself a fishing rod and relax while there’s still a little time left. Nothing beats peace of mind, so take heed.
Former disgraced EU Commissioner John Dalli confirms that during Eddie Fenech Adami’s tenure he was in a position to influence and control the press. By his own admission he must have covered up a lot of the allegations made against him and his involvement in the Daewoo scandal.
There are also the allegations I have been making against and his involvement in the anonymous letters scandal. I still maintain that it was John Dalli who organised the anonymous letters claiming to defame him. I was acquitted of all the charges that he and the police brought against me. On many occasions I asked the police to investigate my allegations against John Dalli but my requests were ignored.
We now come to his Bahamas trips. Of course there is also the Singapore and Dubai connection. In July 2012 his daughter Claire rented a very expensive ocean front villa in Nassau for US$8, 000 per month. That’s a total of US$96, 000 all paid by one of Dalli’s companies, Tyre Ltd.
Allegedly he and his daughter Louise visited Nassau in August 2012. He flew from London to Nassau using a regular Maltese passport. He had a meeting with some Bahamian officials with the intention of setting up an off shore account. Allegedly the sums discussed were US$100 million. This was to be transferred from Dubai and then Chase Bank NYC. For some reason the transfer did not happen.
In early September 2012, while on EU business in Cyprus, Dalli rented a private jet and slipped away to Nassau with international fraudster Emma Corbin aka Mary Swan, Lady Bird etc. He returned with his group back to Malta via Iceland (EU entry point, no stop in USA, jet refuelled in Halifax, Nova Scotia). He must have then known that his game was up and was aware in early September that he was being investigated by OLAF.
However, the rent on the Bahamas property was not paid. After threats of legal action against his daughter Claire through the Maltese courts by the Bahamas property owner, all the rent under contract was promptly paid in full in February 2013.
When his Bahamas trips became public knowledge, Dalli claimed that he had rented the villa and hired the private jet to conduct charity work. Everybody knows that Dalli is not famous for his charitable works. The name of the charity has never been revealed and neither has any charity come forward in his defence to back up his claims. Why would he spend so much of his own money on renting a property and hiring a private jet which must have cost overall more than $200,000?
It is also strange that the international fraudster Emma Corbin aka Mary Swan, Lady Bird etc, who returned to Malta with Dalli, most probably using a false passport, was living in Gzira and nothing has been heard about her any more. The question is why and who is protecting this international known criminal?
I still maintain that John Dalli is the most corrupt politician in Maltese history.

Mr Ellul-Grech after all the accusations you made on Johnny cash our Prime minister took him on board as a consultant. What should we do here laugh or cry?
We should neither laugh nor cry. We should be terrified by the qualities exhibited by Muscat’s chosen consultants – and Dalli would not be the only one.
Hawk, do neither but you can demand the transparency and accountability that was promised.
