Karmenu Vella: like herpes, he’s forever

Karmenu Vella retired from the Maltese parliament tonight – after sitting in it without interruption for 38 years.
Yes, my loves – I was 12 years old and just starting Form 2 (my report was very good) when that old scoundrel got his first seat in the House.
Can you believe it?
He’s one of the new faces of the Labour Party, and like herpes, he’s forever.
The final word on the subject of his removal to a bigger, better and fancier gravy train with a chunkier pension at the end of it has to be that of a Twitter guerrilla using the nom de guerre Baghal.
He will be about as missed as a herpes sore.

Now that we know your age I augur that much more years in your life.
[Daphne – David, NOW you know my age?]
“Augur”! What the heck does “augur” mean except the man who foresees the future in the way dice or stones stop after being thrown or through reading birds’ entrails?
He was also a great architect. He will be remembered for the roadmap.
A rotten apple, packed and sent to the European Commission as fresh fruit. What a Shame.
He’ll have plenty of time to write his memoirs: “From Santa Katerina to Place Saint Catherine”.
Our loss is Brussels’s gain .
Luciano fails to distinguish between “its” and “it’s”… no surprises there.
I don’t envy Juncker. Poor fella now HE has to endure his fits.
Juncker does NOT endure fits.
Juncker does not endure ‘misfits’, either.
Ok, my grammar isn’t up to scratch. Let me clarify:
I don’t envy Juncker. Poor fella now HE (referring to Juncker) has to endure his (referring to il-Guy’s) fits.
More junk for Juncker!
