His wife “made a complain”? *cringe*
And how about he deals with all the “complains” made about the dismal conditions of his employees [read: slaves]?
The cheek!
And he’s “regular at San Gwann outlet”. Good to know that he doesn’t suffer from constipation.
Perhaps Lidl should consider training their cashing staff in China. Alternatively they can engage Adrian Grech Cumbo to run a similar course based on his experience at Leisure Clothing.

Ah, but I have yet to find the link between Lou Bondi’ and Joseph Muscat … Or is it pure arse-licking?

Could it be a carrot and stick? On the one hand, there is the income. Could there be, on the other hand, the threat of a massive tax investigation?
Strange, I thought all that remained to celebrate were the republic’s forty years. That’s this week.
Haha! We needed some comic relief.
Back to the old days?

Have we heard of Lou Bondi. This guy is getting 4000 euro in a month. I guess money talks as they say.
To be exact, Euro 4499.6667 per month.
At least we don’t see Lou Bondi on TV. No more aping Larry King as if braces maketh man. Good riddance.
Some people should avoid writing in English..perhaps even speaking English.
True his English is horrendous.

Kif jghidu ghall Istrina : Kif tista ma taqlibx.
Has Times of Malta done away with its online poll? I can’t find it.
They are probably trying to solve the hacking problem.
I can’t believe that this guy has been placed in some position of authority.
He’s right on one thing though. That sales girls/cashiers, and not only at Lidl, have the bad habit of totally ignoring customers and chatting among themselves at the top of their voices, is factual. It’s endemic to Malta and most irritating.
Ha…ha….I was wondering what the link was! Nothing escapes you, Daphne.
With a smidgen of help perhaps?
I don’t get it.
How do people who are barely literate manage to run successful businesses in the 21st century?
I have been trying to figure that out too. Merit has no place in Malta. It’s dog eat dog pure and simple. Back stabbing and the gift of the gab.
If you, or someone who trusts you enough to tell you about it, get close enough to such people you will discover their other attributes.
In fact some biographies published in Malta are really amusing. They should really be under the category of fiction, as they are very loosely based on real life events. Readers should be warned that the most relevant bits could not be published.
Sometimes I think that Malta’s underworld is of gargantuan proportions. Just reading this commentary helps you join quite a few dots.
Maybe because it is becoming increasingly evident that many businesses are just fronts for illegal activities.
Classic Travel wasn’t run successfully. There was a sheaf of unpaid bills when Grech Cumbo finally pulled out.
Kif ma jisthix! Faccia di bronzo!
Sewwa jghid il-Malti, ‘min jara hotobtu jaqa u jmut zoptu’. Ahjar jara tieghu milli joqod iddahhaq in-nies jimmolla taht it-tinda. Tajjeb ukoll inhalsulu l-venue biex ikollu fejn jitbahnan.
Dawk li jaghmlu “complain” jaghmlu “sleep”.
Unlike his Asian employees, Adrian Grech Cumbo of Leisure Clothing has the freedom to change and complain.
Strictly speaking, they aren’t Grech Cumbo’s employees. They’re employees of China’s dictatorship through its ownership of Leisure Clothing. That’s not to say Grech Cumbo is totally unaware of how indentured labourers are recruited and that he has nothing to do with that particular sideline.

“Malta Leisure Clothing Co. Ltd established in 1986 and is the sole subsidiary of CICET. It is the only Chongqing state-owned clothing company in Europe and the sole qualified company in Malta approved and permitted to employ over 150 Chinese employees by Malta Government. The company is engaged in providing European clients with top grade woman and man suit. The company was highly recognized by customer by the novel design and reliable quality. Up to now there are near 200 employees in this company.”
Why is it that 90% of iced bun recipients are barely articulate and practically illiterate?
I know very articulate persons who can’t (won’t) see anything wrong with Labour. So its no wonder that the illiterate believe they are living under the kindest, most upright and meritocratic government.
No more Dr. Gonzi or Dr. Austin Gatt so for them Malta is a much better place than it was 18 months ago.
Q.E.D.
Because otherwise they will not put themselves in a position to receive ‘iced buns’ of any sort.
Literacy and articulate expression are the by-products of an educated and discerning mind – and, of course, uprightness.
Do you expect to find any of these attributes among little joey’s arse-lickers?
I don’t – and never did.
From first hand experience I can vouch that this Cumbo person comes across immediately as shady, queer and insincere.
He makes complaints all the time, expecting to be reimbursed or obtain some form of compensation. The further revelations on this website amply confirm my view that he is an opportunistic, scheming sleazeball.
I am really sorry but it is not acceptable for a person in his position to have such bad English.
This is Malta and English is our second language. He should be ashamed of himself.
With regards to Lidl’s customer care, on the contrary I am really impressed, they changed a vacuum cleaner for me after one year.
It came all the way from Germany, and was delivered to my doorstep. Could be I knew how to complain without being offensive.
He can’t even write.
Jaf jisthi Bondi? I hope The PN leaders put him on the Franco Debono/JPO level.
