The newspapers and social media are replete with news and information about Labour’s big and small cheeses putting themselves and their friends and families on the state payroll, and then they wonder why their appeals to give money to the Labour Party fall flat.

The appeals may fall flat, half a million euro brought in less so. Then again the numbers quoted by both parties always give cause for doubt.
