How many of them have been put on the state payroll? We should be told.

The National Statistics Office, the contract of whose chief was not renewed when he proved himself non-compliant with Taghna Lkoll number-crunching, has released figures which show a significant decrease in the number of people registering for work: 6,501 compared to 7,639 this time last year.
Meanwhile, we hear every day of people being put on the state payroll. It would be opportune for the National Statistics Office to crunch those particular numbers too and tell us about them – something one suspects it has done already but hasn’t released the information because of what happened to the chief who did that last time.

What’s with the mandarin orange skin tone JPO and Owen Bonnici are sporting? Are they both going to the same fake tan clinic. Is there anything which is not fake with these people?
What has your comment got to do with the above post ?
I couldn’t find a post about how they use cosmetics so I put my comment on the last blog post.
So these are the figures –
7639 – number of people not working 2013.
6501 – number of people not working 2014.
4300 – number of people put on the state payroll
300 – number of people put on the payroll at Air Malta.
So, 6501+4300+300 = 11,001 !!!!!!!
This is by far the worst unemployment figure ever recorded. If one had to be generous and actually state that 2000 jobs on the state payroll were actually needed rather than invented to mop up the unemployed, then one is still left with a staggering 9,000 unemployed in real terms.
Will people every wake up to the fact that they are being bribed with their own money?
This is a scam which could only be pulled off if muzzling was effective enough and breakthrough shouts are managed.
It is a plan which is based on spending money but not on making money to make up for the spend, so your question should lead to ‘what are we selling off to pay for all this’?
Here us an example of a transparent government and how it gives timely and accurate information to the public (might be pertinent to the state payroll issue).

The government has formally set up a national dance company to take part in national and international events. Its purpose will be to promote dance.
The company, called Żfin Malta is headed by a board chaired by Alison White. The board members will be announced shortly, the Culture Ministry said.

It is what goes in one’s pocket not where it comes from that counts in this country.
Better still is the fact that those who benefit most are those from the lower brackets of income which exempts them from income tax.
So how does the argument that they are paying to rob themselves hold water?
Their argument is that their Joey Hood is robbing the rich to pay the poor. This is as far and how deep their arguments go.
