What does the Environment Minister have to do with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, anyway? He should be telling us whether he plans to vote for or against shooting and trapping birds in the mating season.
Maybe what he’s really telling his man there is that he’ll let him into a little secret: that emus are mammals.

Maybe he should tell us what he thinks about the amnesty for illegal developments being prepared by MEPA.
In its electoral manifesto Labour promised to “continue to implement and facilitate schemes for regularisation for those who have MINOR pending issues with planning and sanitary compliance”. (My emphasis.)
From what has been said so far, MAJOR pending illegalities will be eligible for a permit under the amnesty, subject to the payment of a fine.
I would like to hear Minister Brincat’s opinion as to how this will impact the countryside and the natural environment.
