Your government tweets you

Note especially the one where the Minister for the Family retweets a tweet from the girlfriend he put on the state payroll at Malta Freeport.
A circus for a government, with Joseph Muscat as ringmaster. Clearly, they worked out long before the Eurobarometer survey that Maltese people trust social media more than they trust newspapers.
I don’t think trust is the right word there. Social media is preferred because newspapers, even on line, are too complicated and the articles are ‘too long’.
