Is Glenn Bedingfield going to write a book called L-ISKANDLU TAL-PREMIER for Sensiela Kotba Socjalisti?
This was in the print edition of Times of Malta. The scandal is not the 210,000 euros paid to that shady character Mario Camilleri as commission for fixing the deal (can you imagine).
The scandal is that the deal happened at all, especially in the way that it did, with the prime minister – who had been in office for just a month – acting as chief fixer.
We can all see what was in it for the company directors. Now we need to work out what was in it for the prime minister – and I don’t mean in terms of financial commission paid to him personally – that one of the first things he did on getting in to power was fix this for those people.
If he didn’t get anything out of this deal itself, then he had to have been returning a favour for something obtained earlier, and not necessarily from those directors themselves. Maybe fixing it for them was a favour to somebody else.
