UPDATED: MEPA approval for James Piscopo’s three-storey bungalow

Published: March 20, 2015 at 1:33am

James Piscopo, Taghna Lkoll chairman of the Transport Authority, is building the world’s first three-storey bungalow.

He has at least one child – we know because his wife famously described on Facebook how he lost their expensive pushchair – and yet this three-storey bungalow only has one bedroom.

The other bedrooms, over a whole floor of this three-storey bungalow, are cunningly disguised as a ‘hobby room’ (peress li ghandu hafna u hafna hoppies), archives (peress li jaghmel hafna u hafna ricerka fuq dokumenti mill-passat) and stores (well, we all need one of those for hoarding old stuff).

As my architect friend has pointed out, any new-to-the-job employee at the MEPA should be able to flag that up immediately. Ah, but will they be able to?

Apparently not, because these plans have been granted approval.
