Where is the new medical school campus to be built?
As this aerial photograph shows, the options are limited. Yet the government has said that the new medical school project in Gozo will involve a full campus and a 125-bed wing adjacent to Gozo General Hospital.
If Dar Sant’Anna – an old people’s home – is demolished for the purpose, where are the old people going?
The Gozo Hospital is on the edge of a promontory, so there isn’t much scope there. Maybe the parking area and helicopter pad are to go?
The hospital was designed and built in the 1960s to be almost invisible on the skyline. That’s why it only has two floors.
Health Minister Konrad Mizzi said on Dissett said that if the new campus and hospital wing are not ready by September next year, Barts will use part of the existing hospital. How?
