Those who think that Clint Scerri is some kind of fall guy just because he is only 23 are dead wrong.

It’s obvious that he isn’t working alone but he is definitely one of the main men in this operation.

His age has nothing to do with it.

Clint Scerri used to meet Marco Gaffarena almost every working day. They probably met on non-working days too, but I don’t have witnesses to that.

They only stopped meeting in public and at the Office of the Prime Minister when the news broke, because now they know they are under scrutiny – not by their political bosses, but by the media.

Up until a few weeks ago, Gaffarena used to pop into the Office of the Prime Minister (where Michael Falzon’s private secretariat is) to visit Clint Scerri as though he owns the place, several times a week.

And most mornings, they could be seen hanging out together and with other men, including Scerri’s brother Rainer, Ronnie Pellegrini and Victor Spiteri aka Il-Karettuni, at the San Giovanni coffee shop in the cathedral square.
