I think Michelle Muscat is going to be a Labour Party candidate in the 2018 general election

This is the obvious conclusion to be drawn from her relentless assault on the media and the emergence of her public profile as clear and distinct in her own right and not in her role as the prime minister’s ‘spouse’ any longer.

It is all quite obviously very well planned and orchestrated and the charity, the Marigold Foundation, is being used as a campaign vehicle.

The same people who worked on her husband’s image and on public perception of him are now clearly working on hers.

That ‘swim the channel’ business was the equivalent of the campaign footage before the general election, of her husband lifting weights at the Spinach Gym.
