Let’s give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they like Italian comics

The company which Police Inspector Daniel Zammit set up with Paceville boss Hugo Chetcuti’s son Luke Chetcuti, who was just 19 at the time, is called Diabolik Entertainment Ltd.

Diabolik is the name by which Matteo Messina Denaro, is a Sicilian described as the closest thing Sicily still has to a ‘boss of bosses’, is known.

Messina Denaro has been on the run for more than 20 years, after being sentenced in absentia in Italy for the murder of 10 people in a bomb attack. He got his moniker from the Italian comic-book character of the same name.

Let’s give (ex) Police Inspector Daniel Zammit and Hugo Chetcuti the benefit of the doubt and assume they’re fond of the comic-book character.
