The executive chairman of the Malta Council for Science and Technology famously goes to the office only on Wednesday mornings (if that), but yesterday he took Wednesday off just as he does Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

He was spotted in Gozo, being driven around in his car by Stephen Ciangura, a soldier who is on secondment to the Science Council as Pullicino Orlando’s personal 24/7 chauffeur.

The executive chairman was seated in the front passenger seat next to his chauffeur, while his former personal assistant – since promoted to projects coordinator – sat alone in the back.
