One week after all that palaver about marking the 450th anniversary of the so-called ‘great siege’, which is portrayed as the victory of the valiant and heroic Maltese over the evilly Muslim Turks, our prime minister is in Ankara, holding out his begging-bowl to Tayyip Erdogan and boasting about Turkish investment in Malta.
