University of Malta Council president is Erin Tanti’s defence counsel

The president of the Council of the University of Malta, Michael Sciriha, is also Erin Tanti’s defence counsel in his trial for the murder of his 15-year-old pupil, Lisa Marie Zahra.
Proceedings are still at compilation of evidence stage, and Tanti was released on bail last June. There was a furor yesterday and today on the internet when this website broke the news that he has been accepted as a psychology and anthropology student at the university, and is going to lectures with 18-year-olds who knew his victim.
