300,000 euros down the drain and a pockmarked façade

Look at this photograph. They haven’t used the terrible lighting installed – at a cost to the government of 300,000 euros – by sole bidder Raymond Vella & Co, which worked on the Labour Party’s stage lighting during the general election campaign.

Instead, they are flood-lighting the building using the temporary lighting structure that you can see to the left of the photograph, straddling the road entrance to the Central Bank, and apparently Nexos was called in to rescue the situation.
