Off they go to Algeria, on a formal visit

I’m guessing that visas are going to be the rather large elephant in the room. The Health and Energy Minister looks utterly thrilled to be heading off to Algiers. I can’t help thinking there’s something not quite right there, which might be exactly why he is the prime minister’s anointed tool for the two particular portfolios where so much shiftiness has been required on the matter of hospitals and power stations.

Meanwhile, the government has boasted through the Department of Information that this is one of the largest Maltese business delegations ever. Why that should be anything to boast about is anybody’s guess – but this government is all about the biggest and the most, rather than the best.
