What the government wants you to think a typical civil servant looks like

Because you know how it is: every time you go into some kind of government department, you’re met by a tall, slim, well-proportioned young man with red hair, blue eyes and a huge smile on his face, who looks like he should be wearing a kilt. And he’s wearing a smart, bright-white shirt and good tie too, even if the tie-colour is highly suspect.

The biggest joke about this is that the people who will have signed off on the choice of image are the head of the civil service, Mario Cutajar, and the head of government communications, Kurt Farrugia, who couldn’t possibly look more different to the civil service ‘symbol’ they have chosen, below.
