Science Council chairman appoints his friend and lawyer to post as board secretary

Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando has abused of his position as chairman of the Malta Council for Science and Technology to appoint his close friend and lawyer, Vince Micallef, to the position of secretary to the council board.

To make matters worse, Micallef has no training, experience or track record in the field, but is a former policeman turned lawyer with a small practice in criminal law.

His law partner, another policeman turned lawyer called Andy Ellul, has been put on the state payroll through a retainer to the Family Minister, Michael Farrugia, another member of their circle of friends.
