In this interview with Malta Today, published on 12 March 2013, Joseph Muscat, fresh in the role of Prime Minister, explains why he chose Keith Schembri as his chief of staff. The interviewer is Nestor Laiviera, son of one of the biggest Mintoffians still alive today, who was himself given a ‘position of trust’ as a communications coordinator in some government secretariat or other shortly after that.
