Vietnam is to put a prominent blogger on trial along with his assistant, for “abusing democratic freedoms” and “adversely affecting the interests of the state”.
State media have gone to war on them already, saying they have been indicted because their articles have “untruthful and groundless content”, they “distort the lines and policies of the party and laws of the state”, and “negatively affect people’s trust in the Communist Party and government”.
